Accommodations & Travel Coordinator

Our Brucejack operation is now recruiting for an Accommodations & Travel Coordinator with a competitive base salary between $62,900 – $72,000 dependent on experience, skills, and competencies with consideration to internal equity with an additional short-term incentive of 10%.

The Accommodations & Travel Coordinator will organize and monitor the safe and efficient transportation and organization of employees to and from the mine site.

Perform following duties, with safety being the number one priority:

  • Collaborate with our Accommodations team with the full cycle travel booking of commercial flights, charter flight, coach bussing and hotels to and from site.
  • Create and distribute daily and weekly reports using booking software and Microsoft Office.
  • Create and distribute travel itineraries.
  • Maintain up to date records and tracking of all commercial flight and hotel room bookings.
  • Provide updates throughout the day pertaining to travel changes and coordinate alternate travel arrangements as required.
  • Ancillary support to our other on-site and off-site accommodations, accommodations & travel, and travel coordinators.
  • Perform other related duties to support the successful operation of the Brucejack Mine.
  • Keep minutes during all site Code 1’s.
  • Track all helicopter flights onsite.
  • Track all Drone movements onsite.
  • Maintain data tracking by department for billing.
  • Ability to complete flight tracking course.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with safety policies and governmental safety regulations including Ministry of Mines and WorkSafeBC.

About You:

Position requirements include, but are not limited to:  

  • Advanced computer skills (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Teams programs, emailing, typing).
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, systems, and terminology.
  • Advanced communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of hospitality and flight booking software
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
  • Excellent command/comprehension of the English language with strong verbal/writing skills.
  • Strong/demonstrated leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to respond calmly and quickly to emergency situations.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated time management and decision-making skills; ability to prioritize work.
  • Cross cultural awareness with an understanding and sensitivity of the challenges associated with differences in cultural and economic backgrounds.
  • Must be able to work day/night rotations.

Additional Information

  • Work at remote location (camp) on a 14 days on/14 days off rotation
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical screening.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift.
  • Be able maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shifts.
  • Able to work in areas of extreme weather conditions.
  • Able to work in close quarters with a team.
