She started her studies with funding from the Tahltan Central Government and the Tahltan Band, with further funding obtained via scholarships from Red Chris. While working full time, Chantel took online courses at Royal Roads University and has obtained her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Practice. “My degree is in the applications of science and technology in the environmental sector. It is about implementing effective and sustainable change that is necessary for our land and future. I was motivated to follow this passion because I really enjoy doing environmental work. It actually helped me pursue further education because I knew it would benefit my long-term career goals.”
