Ashley Jay studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Calgary. When she was in University, she had one mindset of what she would be doing in her future career. Being in Calgary, her future seemed like working in the oil and gas industry. She did not want to work in the industry, but it seemed like one of her few options.
Ashley decided to pursue her dream of working in Tahltan Territory. Enter OnTrack. Ashley heard about OnTrack through family and friends and decided to explore her options. Through OnTrack, she applied to be a core cutter for Skeena Resources. She was hired and quickly moved into the Tahltan Mentorship Program. Currently, she is a junior project engineer in training.
