Our Red Chris operation is now recruiting for the position of TIA – Engineer in Training with a competitive base salary between $87,875.00 – $95,000.00 dependant on experience, skills, and qualifications. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills and competencies with consideration to internal equity.
We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.
Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Tailings Construction Project Engineer, the Tailings Construction Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is responsible for providing technical support for the Tailings Construction department. The Tailings Construction EIT will work on projects related to 3D design, constructability, quality control, and survey control of heavy civil earthworks projects in the tailings area. The candidate will also be exposed to tasks involving cost management, scheduling, mid-range planning, and contract administration to develop their skills and career as a construction professional.
Construction projects in the tailings area include annual dam raises (~1.5 million cubic meters per year), mine haul road construction, borrow area development, diversion ditch construction, as well as drill and blast scopes. Work is completed in close collaboration with local business partners.
