The Specialist – Health & Safety’s role is to support the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operational control of Red Chris JV’s Safety departmental operation in accordance with legal requirements and company objectives. This individual is responsible in providing leadership and operational direction to the work teams, ensuring resources capacity and capability are aligned to the work plans.

Key aspects of this role include:

• Leading the development of management system level documents and processes to ensure Red Chris meets all HSE Obligations
• Apply functional systems audit techniques to identify processes, practices, systems, and physical conditions that do not comply with the relevant standard, legal requirements, and/or pose a significant risk to the operation.
• Support the implementation of the Newcrest Safety Transformation Plan
