Our Vancouver Regional office team is now recruiting for the position of Senior Financial Analyst with a competitive base salary between $110,000.00 – $140,000.00, with an additional short-term incentive of 15%. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity.
Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance team. Reporting directly to the Site Controller, they play an important role in supporting annual business planning and forecasting processes. They will support the Site Investment Council process by generating analysis and financial modelling for investment decisions. They will also perform the analysis of monthly financial results with a focus on operating cost and capital expenditure analysis. The role will also include responsibilities related to financial compliance, internal controls, and improvement of business processes.
We are seeking an individual for Full-time position, working primarily in Vancouver, Canada, with occasional site travel as required.
Accountabilities
- Supporting the annual business planning process and monthly/quarterly forecasting process for the operation
- Working closely with operational departments to analyze monthly cost variances and highlighting trends within the key performance indicators
- Coordinating the site cost review process, including reporting/analytics to drive accountability
- Developing financial models and financial projections using large data sets and finance principles
- Working on planning optimization and continuous improvement initiatives within the commercial department
- Complete Statistics Canada requests on timely manner
- Support the Site Investment Council process and reporting requirements
- Support the month end accounting process, including managing accruals, fixed asset accounting etc.
- Assist in system configurations and concept guidance by providing project management support and testing of ERP modifications
- Other finance-related duties, as required
