Job Summary:
Reporting to the Leads, Geoscience, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting a large and complex mineral deposit development program on site. Duties primarily consist of assisting in the technical design, planning, and implementation of a feasibility study drill program, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of drill core processing and resulting assays, and the general management of the project’s database system. Data integration and connectivity across database systems and spatial data software (GIS and 3D modeling platforms) is required to maximize the value of GCMC’s geoscience data.
Overview:
This position is based out of the Galore Creek Uhtlān fly-in access camp in northwestern BC during the spring to fall season. The successful candidate will be expected to be on site working a rotational basis (generally 20 days in 10 days out) from May to September. In the winter season the position can be executed up to 100% remotely, though residence in Vancouver, or being open to relocation to Vancouver, is considered an asset. The successful candidate can start as soon as December 2022.
