About the Job:

As the Miner 2, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our underground development activities.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Operation of LHD Equipment
  • Installation of ground support materials using Robolter
  • Ability to load rounds with little or no supervision
  • Assist with other activities involved in the mining cycle
  • Assist with maintenance repairs as required
  • Perform pre-operational checks, and operate equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures
  • Monitor equipment and processes and ensure equipment deficiencies and operational issues are reported clearly
  • Conduct trouble shooting activities when problems arise
  • Complete Operator Report Sheets and Daily Logbooks

 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Five (5) years’ experience in underground cut/fill operations
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow mine plan documentation
  • Ability to operate LHD equipment, Robolter, and a Jackleg/Stoper
  • Ability to perform all functions of a Miner 3
  • Valid driver's license
  • Physically fit to perform the duties of the position

 

Additional Information:

  • Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12 hour shifts per day at a remote camp. Night shifts are required.
  • Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, and Watson Lake.
  • The base hourly rate of this position is $38.11, complemented by a competitive monthly bonus.
