About the Job:
As the Miner 2, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our underground development activities.
Responsibilities:
- Operation of LHD Equipment
- Installation of ground support materials using Robolter
- Ability to load rounds with little or no supervision
- Assist with other activities involved in the mining cycle
- Assist with maintenance repairs as required
- Perform pre-operational checks, and operate equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures
- Monitor equipment and processes and ensure equipment deficiencies and operational issues are reported clearly
- Conduct trouble shooting activities when problems arise
- Complete Operator Report Sheets and Daily Logbooks
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Five (5) years’ experience in underground cut/fill operations
- Ability to read, interpret and follow mine plan documentation
- Ability to operate LHD equipment, Robolter, and a Jackleg/Stoper
- Ability to perform all functions of a Miner 3
- Valid driver's license
- Physically fit to perform the duties of the position
Additional Information:
- Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12 hour shifts per day at a remote camp. Night shifts are required.
- Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, and Watson Lake.
- The base hourly rate of this position is $38.11, complemented by a competitive monthly bonus.
