Our Brucejack operation is now recruiting for a Mine Operations Dispatcher with a competitive base salary between $63,000 – $73,100 dependent on experience, skills, and competencies with consideration to internal equity with an additional short-term incentive of 10%.
The purpose of the position is to monitor the safe and efficient execution of the mine plan and to gather critical information. This position is a key point of contact to ensure smooth and efficient communication between stakeholder groups.
Perform the following duties with safety being the number one priority:
- Balance workload and make decisions in consultation with other stakeholders to achieve safe production outcomes as dictated by daily, weekly and monthly plans.
- Maximize the utilization and output of the mining fleet using the Fleet Management System (FMS) by identifying the gaps in process and liaising with mine operations team accordingly.
- Take appropriate action where necessary to apply short interval controls to achieve the mine plan.
- Promote and actively participate in business improvements and ideas.
- Capture, validate and record mine site data, shift and production reports using FMS.
- Provide accurate information to ensure informed production decisions are being made as needed.
- Serving as central communication personnel for mine production and safety, including emergency events
- Utilize strong working relationships with shift supervisors to collaborate and optimize the daily mine plan during the shift in response to changing conditions and events.
- Foster a positive and productive working relationship between team members and with other departments on site.
- Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of equipment operators, crews and equipment using a variety of computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment.
- Receive, prepare, and relay work orders, information, and messages to and from work crews, supervisors and technical personnel.

- Perform other related duties to support the successful operation of the Brucejack Mine
- Understand and ensure compliance with safety policies and governmental safety regulations including Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation, and WorksafeBC.
