Our Red Chris operation is now recruiting for the position of Manager – Underground Mining with a competitive base salary between $170,793.00 – $304,757.00 dependant on experience, skills, and qualifications. with an additional short term incentive of 30%. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills and competencies with consideration to internal equity. 

We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.  

 

Purpose of the Role

Responsible for the management of safety and ensuring all work in the Underground Mine for the Block Cave project is completed in accordance with the approved project schedule, cost and quality expectations. Manage an over $1B scope of mining and associated work whilst ensuring the safe integration of all other underground construction activities. Manage the safety and interactions of around 300 people UG on shift. Ensure the smooth hand over and establishment of ongoing production operations up to 15Mtpa.  This will be done utilizing the Newcrest Project management Standards (PMS) and aligned with the investment approvals from Newcrest, regulatory approvals from the British Columbia government and the Impact Benefit and Co-Management Agreement (IBCA) with the Tahltan.
