Manager, Geoscience and Field Operations

Job Summary / General Accountability

Reporting to the Project Director, the Manager, Geoscience and Field Operations is primarily responsible for providing professional leadership for the geoscience team, and for all geoscience and site operating activities on the Galore Creek Project.  This includes the successful planning, budgeting, execution, safety management and reporting of all geoscience and field operating activities and ensuring the project consults with and communicates effectively with key Communities of Interest (COIs).

The incumbent will contribute as an integral member of the GCMC Project Team in the overall management and decision-making processes for value enhancements, strategic action plans and project development operations focused on addressing value impediments (i.e. access, water and tailings, community, technical and engineering), and in the identification and advancement of economically feasible, socially acceptable, and environmentally sustainable study alternatives.
