Job Summary / General Accountability
Reporting to the Director – Social, Environmental, and Regulatory Affairs (SERA), the Manager, Field Operations is primarily responsible for providing professional leadership for the Site Operations team, managing all field programs and site operations at the Galore Creek Project site. This includes the successful planning, budgeting, execution, safety management and reporting of all field operating activities, ensuring appropriate engagement with the Tahltan Nation, and other Indigenous groups and Communities of Interest (COIs).
The incumbent will contribute as an integral member of the GCMC Project Team in the overall management and decision-making processes for value enhancements, strategic action plans and project development operations focused on addressing value impediments (i.e., access, water and tailings, community, technical and engineering), and in the identification and advancement of economically feasible, socially acceptable, and environmentally sustainable study alternatives.
