Our Red Chris operation is now recruiting for the position of Lead – Training and Development with a competitive base salary between $125,000.00 – $148,000.00 dependant on experience, skills, and qualifications with an additional short term incentive of 15% . The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills and competencies with consideration to internal equity. 

Purpose of the Role:  

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lead – Training and Development to join our Red Chris Mine in Northwest British Columbia with a competitive base salary.

The Lead – Training and Development will be responsible for managing and coordinating our apprenticeship program, which provides on-the-job training and education to aspiring tradespeople. The successful candidate will work closely with our People & Development, Maintenance, Mill and Site Services teams to ensure that the apprenticeship program meets industry standards and provides high-quality training to our apprentices.

In addition, this role will be responsible to develop and improve Maintenance training programs, as necessary, and apply and evaluate training principles to the Maintenance Department to ensure the effectiveness of the process. Facilitation and oversite of the Managing Matters or similar leadership skills development initiatives is also part of this role.

There will be up to two direct Maintenance Trainers reporting and one in-direct Maintenance Technical Trainer report for this role.

The Lead – Training and Development will be cross-shift to the Superintendent – Training and provide coverage and support when the Superintendent is not on schedule.

We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.
