Job Summary / General Accountability

Reporting to the GCMC Manager, Project Services, the Lead, IT Systems is responsible for overseeing the implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages while planning, organizing, and executing all IT functions for the GCMC locations including Vancouver and Smithers’ offices and Galore Creek Camps during the field season. Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.

This position requires working with various departments (Network, Collaboration/AV, Security, Service Desk, Risk, change management, Infrastructure) to provide new technical solutions for GCMC and Teck users in GCMC environment. The position is also responsible for configuring new offices, managing inventory, procuring new software and hardware, ordering supplies, coordinating maintenance and replacement of operational equipment, optimizing processes, and liaising with various stakeholders.

Overview

This position is based out of the Galore Creek Mining Corporation Head Office in Vancouver.

Frequent travel to Galore Creek Camps is required during the field season.
