Purpose of the role:

We have a unique opportunity for a talented Lead – Electrical Engineer to join our Block Cave Project team in Newmont's Vancouver office. With a competitive base salary ranging from $135,000.00 to $170,000.00, dependent on your experience, skills, and qualifications, this role is pivotal in supporting the Newmont Block Cave Projects team at the Red Chris mine site.

As the Electrical Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping the electrical design for the block cave project. Your responsibilities will include providing essential input into the electrical design and proposing modifications to project plans to ensure alignment with the basis of design, engineering criteria, and industry standards specific to block cave mining.

You will work closely with the project management team, including project managers, project controls, and construction teams, and contribute to the successful execution of this exciting block cave venture.

We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, possessing a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and a minimum of 8 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably within the context of block cave mining or similar heavy industrial projects.
