Purpose
Reporting to the crew Supervisor, the Inventory Controller manages the Red Chris pool of rotating/repairable stock items to support maintenance tasks as well as key inventory management duties. Rotable/repairable duties includes tracking down returns, obtaining quotes, creating purchase orders, expediting outstanding orders. Inventory management duties include supporting the Inventory Specialist in maintaining master data records, actioning new material records, creating, and maintaining fixed bin locations, providing urgent purchase requisitions, and attaching material photos. As well as duties as directed by the Supervisor and Superintendent of Supply & Logistics.
The Red Chris Supply & Logistics team is recruiting for an Inventory Controller, with a competitive base salary between $75,000 – $100,000 per year, dependant on experience, skills, and qualifications. The compensation package will include an additional Travel allowance to get you to and from site, and more.
We are seeking an individual for a Fly-In, Fly-Out opportunity working on a two-weeks-in, two-weeks-out rotation.
Accountabilities
The job scope of the Inventory Controller includes, but is not limited to:
- Participate in all safety aspects of the role – warehouse inspections, pre-start and safety meetings
- Effectively manage rotables – Action purchase requisitions, obtain quotes, create purchase orders, actively expedite open orders, optimise holding levels to minimise working capital without adding risk to the business
- Create and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders – I.e., Suppliers, Engineers, Maintenance, Supply
- Action Inventory control tasks – I.e., Create and maintain fixed bins, changes to descriptions, max/min levels, add photos, obsolescence identification and action
- Support stock takes undertaken by the team
- Support and provide coverage in other technical team roles where necessary
- Complete ANSI form actions and maintenance green form requests
- Support breakdown requirements with urgent purchase requisition creation and coordinate urgent repairs or alternatives where required
- Manage Parked Invoices to ensure timely payment of Suppliers
- Accurately report and maintain rotable dashboard and other required reporting
- Respond to general Supply enquiries and resolve issues that may arise

Qualifications & Experience
Job requirements include, but are not limited to:
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, or Distribution and Warehouse Operations, Finance or Accounting, or Audit Experience preferred.
- SCMP Designation (asset)
- CPA certification (asset)
- Experience in mining operations is considered a strong asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- 3+ years of SAP experience
- Physical requirements: Ability to periodically lift, push, pull 50+ pounds, stand, walk, kneel, bend and reach.
- Valid Driver’s License
- A team player that works well with others
- Strong oral and written communication skills

The expected salary range for this role is CA$75,000-100,000 per year. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
