Our Brucejack operation is now recruiting for an Inventory Control Technician with a competitive base salary between $107,000-113,000 dependent on experience, skills, and competencies with consideration to internal equity with an additional short-term incentive of 10%.
Reporting to the Superintendent, Warehouse Operations, or designate, the Inventory Control Technician will operate out of the Brucejack Mine Warehouse supporting department inventory control tasks, mitigate inventory risks, inventory core return management, internal department inventory initiatives and inventory optimization responsibilities. As well as any other duties as directed by the Superintendent, Warehouse Operations, or designate.
Perform the following duties with safety being the number one priority:
- The Inventory Control Technician will support the BJM Warehouse Operations with data transfers, inventory cycle counts, inventory variances and investigation, inventory KPI reporting.
- Review and approve MDM requests in collaboration with the Inventory Analysts and supervision.
- Participate in inventory Continuous Improvement projects.
- Participate in all Newmont Safety initiatives, including all Safety aspects of the role.
- Action inventory control tasks – create bin locations, description naming, obsolescence identification, etc.
- Support and provide coverage in other department technical team roles when necessary.
- Accurately report and support Inventory dashboard and other required reporting.
- Respond to general site enquiries regarding Inventory and Free Text Orders.
- Make decisions based on data, performs hands-on thinking, and uses a variety of problem-solving techniques.
- Leverages technology, digital tools, solutions, challenges, and emerging trends to lift Inventory optimization.
- Other duties as required.

About You
Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Red Seal Journeyperson Partsperson certification is required.
- 5 + years applied experience in Warehouse Operations, Inventory Management, Inventory Auditing. Mining experience would be preferred.
- 2 + years of applied SAP MM experience.
- Minimum 1 year of applied Excel experience.
- BC Mines Supervisor certification would be an asset.
- Ability to lead projects and people would be an asset.
- Experience operating various material handling equipment.
- Collaborative attitude and effective communications skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Additional Information
- Work at remote location (camp) on 13 days on, 13 days off rotation, 2 travel days schedule.
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical screening.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift.
- Be able maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shifts.
- Able to work in areas of extreme weather conditions.
- Able to work in close quarters with the team.
