Health and Safety Coordinator

Job Summary:

 

This role will report to the Health and Safety Lead. The Health and Safety Coordinator will coordinate health and safety (H&S) for all on-site operations at a remote, helicopter-only accessible site, providing support on the development and management of the project H&S programs to ensure operational compliance to safety standards, and risk mitigation in order to promote a safety focused culture. The Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for planning, managing, documenting, and reporting on health and safety activities, trainings, procedures, policies, incidents, and statistics for the site and establishing, maintaining, and managing a safety committee for the site. This role is to be a safety champion promoting Galore Creek’s core values of a safety-focused culture based on courageous safety leadership.

 

Overview:

This position primarily site-based at the Galore Creek Project in Northwestern BC. The successful candidate would be expected to be on site working a rotational basis, starting as soon as possible – October 2023. This will be a temporary position with opportunity to be extended.
