The Global Center for Indigenous Community Relations’ (“the Center”) purpose is to advocate for excellence in engagement with Indigenous Peoples, both within Newmont and across the industry. The Center aspires to be a respected source of dialogue, collected knowledge and shared experiences to improve Newmont’s practices and contribute to advancing the industry’s approach to engagement with Indigenous communities. The Center is physically located within the North American Regional Office in Vancouver, it is global in its scope, and is part of Newmont’s Corporate External Relations function.

As an intern, you will be responsible for implementing specific Global Center for Indigenous Community Relations projects, as well as supporting the day-to-day activities of the Center. The exact projects will be established according to your availability, interest, skills, and experience, in addition to the specific business needs. Fall intern positions begin in September 2021 and conclude in December 2021. The exact dates are flexible depending on each student’s availability and our business need. Our internships are full-time paid positions (40 hours/week). This internship is based in Vancouver, Canada, with the option for remote working.  It is possible some travel may be required to one or more of Newmont’s sites. There is ample opportunity for internal networking within our company.
