Geotechnical Lead

Reporting to the Geoscience Managers and the Principal Geotechnical Engineer, the Geotechnical Lead will be responsible for providing geotechnical leadership and supervision of a large and complex prefeasibility-level study. The successful candidate will contribute as a senior member of the field team. Involved with planning, designing, and managing geotechnical studies, while upholding rigorous safety standards. The position is in support of the 2024 geotechnical field program at the Galore Creek Project, a world-class porphyry copper-gold deposit.

This position is based out of the Galore Creek project site, a remote fly-in camp located in northwestern British Columbia. GCMC will provide travel to and from the project site. This role is expected to be working on-site on a rotational basis of 14 days in, 14 days out from July until September, with office-based work both before and after the field season. The successful candidate would have a start date in May 2024.
