Purpose of the role:

We have a unique opportunity for a talented Geotechnical Engineer to join our Block Cave Project team in Newmont's Red Chris mine. With a competitive base salary ranging from $120,000.00 to $135,000.00, dependent on your experience, skills, and qualifications, this role is pivotal in supporting the Newmont Block Cave Projects team at the Red Chris mine site.

As the Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the areas of ground control, rock mass classification/characterization, data collection, QA/QC, site investigation programs, and geotechnical process development. With the active development approaching the footprint, this is an opportunity to be a pivotal part of bringing a new block cave through cave establishment and into production.  A rare opportunity for the right candidate.

We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor degree in engineering (Mining, Civil, Geotechnical or Geological), or equivalent degree in a relevant field combined with previous experience as a Geotechnical, or Geological Engineer preferred; New Graduates & EITs will be considered for the position.
