The Contract Specialist, reporting to the Senior Contract Specialist, will be responsible for managing the full contracting lifecycle (planning, execution, administration and closing) for the Galore Creek Mining Corporation (GCMC) project.  The Contracts Specialist will work in a collaborative manner with a diverse group of GCMC management, team members, and external parties to develop and recommend contract strategies, Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation, and administer the evaluation of proposals, achieving internal alignment on and preparation of recommendations for award documentation, and creating conforming contracts.

The Contract Specialist will contribute as an integral member of the GCMC Project Team in the overall management and decision-making processes for value enhancements, strategic action plans and project development operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuing to build strong working relationships with local communities, including Tahltan Nation and other First Nations groups, and identifying contracting opportunities to continue strengthening relationships and the asset.

This position is based out of the Galore Creek Mining Corporation head office in Vancouver.
