Senior Project Geologist

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Lead, Geoscience, the Senior Project Geologist will perform their duties as a member of the Galore Creek team. The position focuses on a drilling program for a large porphyry copper-gold deposit that is currently being evaluated as part of a prefeasibility study. Duties primarily pertain to assisting in the design, planning, and implementation of drilling/exploration programs; supporting geological modelling and resource estimation; and integrating geoscience expertise with the Galore Creek technical group (encompassing metallurgy and process engineering, geotechnical engineering and infrastructure, and mine planning). 

Overview:

This position is based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, but requires significant fieldwork at the Galore Creek Uhtlān Camp, a remote fly-in camp located in northwestern British Columbia. Galore Creek will provide travel from Vancouver to Uhtlān Camp. This role is expected to be working on-site on a rotational basis of 20 days in, 10 days out from June until October. The successful candidate would have an anticipated start date in March 2023.
