Remote Camp Housekeeping Attendant

About Working in Remote Camps
Staff are provided with accommodation, full meals, WIFI and some have health/gym facilities. We have both long-term and short-term contacts. Shift schedules are between 10-12 hours (day or night) and are typically 20 days on and 10 days off, depending on the camp. We provide partial uniforms and help with the travel/reservations as needed to and from camp locations. Excellent Health and Wellness benefits are offered after three months.

About the Job

This positionĀ is responsible for assisting with overall camp cleanliness and sanitation andĀ must be able to work diligently and under pressure.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first-class customer service
  • Make beds, change linens, comforters and towels
  • Remove garbage and dust shelving
  • Sweep and vacuum the mudroom, hallway and entranceways
  • Check inbound and outbound guest lists for room changeover. Report changes and cleaned items
  • Ensure bathrooms are cleaned each day (floors, toilets, shower stalls, sinks, and mirrors)
  • Replenish toilet paper, paper towels and soap
  • Keep the laundry room tidy; dust and sweep daily, mop every other day
  • Keep linen storage clean and organized
  • Other duties as may be assigned, such as Kitchen Helper as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years housekeeping experience
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Completion of High School
  • Team player and can provide support, motivation, and encouragement to others
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-developed organization skills
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
  • Always maintain a professional appearance
  • Work safely and responsibly
  • Able to get along well with others and contribute to a Respectful Workplace

Physical Requirements

  • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch for long periods of time;
  • Repetitive movement of hands and wrists;
  • Use muscles to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs;
  • Reach with hands and arms;
  • Use hands to handle objects and tools;
  • Must be able to complete up to 12 hour shifts.

Other Requirements

  • Pre-employment mandatory drug and alcohol clearance
  • Completion of LandSea or site-specific Orientation and Safety Training
  • Government issued Vaccination Passport as required for Air travel
  • Completed Health Questionnaire
