Office and Property Administrator

Reporting to the Regional Sustainability and External Relations function in Vancouver, Newmont is seeking an Office and Property Administrator to support with the management of a Dease Lake community office and other Newmont-owned properties within Northwestern BC/Tahltan Territory. The ideal candidate will be based in Dease Lake, BC though applicants located in other parts of Tahltan Territory will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Manage an office in Dease Lake that will serve as Newmont’s administrative hub in Northwestern BC and Tahltan Territory.

• Maintain Newmont-owned properties in Northwestern BC and Tahltan Territory (ie. the Bear Paw Lodge in Iskut).

• Coordinate the use of Newmont properties (ie. the Bear Paw Lodge in Iskut) as needed by Newmont or by approved community request.

• Serve as a point of contact in Northwestern BC for community inquiries, referring inquiries to the Sustainability and External Relations team as needed.

• Attend public community events in Northwestern BC and Tahltan Territory, keeping the Sustainability and External Relations team apprised of important community updates.

• Manage the intake and response of community sponsorship and donation requests within Northwestern BC and Tahltan Territory. • Assist with local travel arrangements of Newmont employees to Northwestern BC and Tahltan Territory

Requirements:

• A class 5 driver’s license valid in British Columbia and comfortability with driving in rural areas.

• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize to ensure deadlines are met.

• The ability to communicate professionally as a representative of Newmont.

• Functional computer skills with competency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• An understanding of the communities within Northwestern BC and the cultural practices of Tahltan Nation.

• Experience in administration or office management is considered an asset.

• Experience managing a commercial or large residential property is considered an asset.

• Experience coordinating contractors or suppliers is considered an asset.

• Experience in the mining or natural resources sector is considered an asset.
